INTRODUCING THE FLOATING ART RESIDENCY
We are excited to introduce a new adventure for Somako Collective.
The format is different, but the heart of the project remains the same…
Somako creative immersions and residencies are fully co-created experiences, meaning everyone contributes their unique skills and experience in order to make it happen.
The timetable is created drawing from the collective intelligence of the group. As a participant, you are invited to teach / share your offerings on the schedule if you like. (This might be in the form of a class, workshop, guiding a discussion circle, giving a talk, etc.) or simply contributing with your art eg.
At the core of these experiences, is the acknowledgment that we all have something of value to offer, and a vital role to play as part of this living, breathing ecosystem. Likewise, we have so much to learn and receive from and in the relationship between ourselves and those around us.
Immersions are designed to nurture collective inspiration, co-creation, co-operation and connection.
They are put together to provide a balance of structure and freedom, support and space to inspire creativity, foster wellbeing, knowledge integration, project actualization and self development.
They are designed to feel somewhere between a mini-festival, a training and a retreat.
